Wreckers Aquatics Volunteer Education (WAVE) is a new initiative led by Staples High School swimmers to give back to our local community while developing the next generation of athletes. Through WAVE, our high school swimmers provide personalized, one-on-one swim instruction to beginner swimmers in a supportive and confidence-building environment.

This program is designed with a dual purpose: to expand access to quality swim instruction -- beginning with Staples faculty and staff families -- and to give our student-athletes meaningful leadership, teaching, and mentorship experience. By putting our swimmers in the role of coach, WAVE helps them deepen their own technical understanding while building communication and responsibility skills that extend far beyond the pool.

WAVE reflects the values of the Staples swim program: community, growth, and excellence, both in and out of the water.
